The Circuit Clerk maintains records of proceedings and prepares the dockets of circuit, chancery, and juvenile courts. The Clerk prepares summons, warrants, orders, judgments, and injunctions authorized by the County Sheriff. The Circuit Clerk maintains files of cases pending in each court, records past court cases, their disposition, and maintains a list of prospective jurors.
The Circuit Clerk records deeds, mortgages, liens, surety bonds and other order instruments involving property within the County. The Clerk swears in notaries public and files regulation of state agencies licensing trade or professional workers. |
